Vote XML – voting system, works on PHP4 or PHP5 and uses XML as database

Vote XML v1.0

Information:

Simple voting system created using PHP/XML

Features:

Installation:

1. Unpack the “vote_xml.zip” archive to“vote_xml” folder
2. Open the “settings.xml” file in any plain text editor
3. Change the word vote_xml in the “<login>vote_xml</login>” string in the “settings.xml” file to a new username
4. Change the word vote_xml in the “<pass>vote_xml</pass>” string in the “settings.xml” file to a new password
5. Upload all files in “vote_xml” folder to any folder on your server
6. Change using FTP (or by any other way) CHMOD access rights of the root folder of the “Vote XML” system to “0777″
7. Change using FTP (or by any other way) CHMOD access rights of the settings.xml file in the root folder of the “Vote XML” system to “0777″
8. Change using FTP (or by any other way) CHMOD access rights of the data.xml file in the root folder of the “Vote XML” system to “0777″

This is my second attempt to create a blog. The first attempt failed. That was on Googles Blogger.com. Usually I like Googles production. But this time, I’m afraid, not. It is not so usable. But I think WordPress is much better.

This is not my first web page. Till today I had a page on http://topchiyev.biomed-az.com/. But the owner of the server asked me to remove that page, becouse he is not going to support that server anymore. So I begane to look for a new solution. And this is what I found.

Firstly I’m going to port all contents of my old web page. Then I’ll continue blogging.
